Peelings

Chemical peeling is a type of treatment in which the skin's superficial layers are removed using chemicals (for example, acids). This stimulates the skin to replace lost layers with new ones.

There are three types of peels: superficial, median, and deep.

Superficial peels (for example, fruit peels with glycolic acid), are suitable where a quick and refreshing effect is needed, but side effects such as skin redness or over-exfoliation (the so-called lunch-time peel) are not desirable.

Median peels (for example, based on trichloroacetic acid) are indicated mainly where a strong anti-ageing effect is required.

Other peel applications include reducing the size of pores, scars, and age spots.
