1. Persistent fatigue and low energy
If you sleep eight hours but still feel like you are dragging yourself through the day, you may be lacking iron or vitamin B12.
2. Brittle hair and weak nails
Do your nails constantly break or is your hair suddenly becoming thinner? This is often a sign of a biotin (B7) deficiency.
3. “Chicken skin” or dry patches
These small, painless red or white bumps on the back of the arms (keratosis pilaris) can sometimes be linked to a deficiency in vitamin A or vitamin C.

4. Bleeding gums or mouth sores
If your gums bleed when brushing your teeth—even with a soft toothbrush—it is often a sign of vitamin C deficiency.
5. Muscle cramps and tingling sensations
Frequent calf cramps or tingling in the hands and feet are classic signs of an electrolyte or vitamin imbalance. You may be lacking magnesium, calcium, or potassium.
While supplements can be helpful, it is always advisable to have a brief blood test done by a doctor before starting high-dose supplementation.
