What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a medical-aesthetic treatment in which a special acid solution (e.g., glycolic acid or TCA) is applied to the skin. This removes dead skin cells, stimulates cell regeneration, and visibly refines the skin.

How does a chemical peel work?

The acids penetrate the upper (or in the case of stronger peels, the medium-deep) layers of the skin and specifically dissolve skin cells. This activates skin renewal and promotes a fresh, smooth, and even complexion.

Benefits of a chemical peel

  • Refines pores and skin texture.

  • Smooths fine lines and pigmentation irregularities.

  • Brightens dull skin tone.

  • Improves acne and blemishes.

  • Long-term skin renewal without surgery.

What to expect after the treatment?

After a peel, the skin may feel smooth, slightly tight, or appear a bit red. Depending on the depth of the peel, there may be mild flaking or more intense peeling (e.g., with TCA) in the following days. The final result is visibly fresher and more even skin.

Areas of application

  • Uneven or dull complexion.

  • Pigmentation spots, sun damage.

  • Acne & acne scars.

  • Enlarged pores.

  • Fine to moderately deep lines.

  • Light scars.

Why chemical peel instead of microdermabrasion?

While microdermabrasion works mechanically (via abrasion), chemical peels penetrate deeper and are often more effective for pigmentation, fine lines, or acne. They offer more precise control and additionally stimulate cell and collagen production.
